The Commercialisation Office is responsible for the commercialisation of research at National University of Ireland Maynooth.  This includes developing links with industry, protecting and exploiting NUI Maynooth generated intellectual property (IP) via licensing and business start-ups and promoting a culture of research commercialisation.  NUI Maynooth current as more than 30 active research projects with industry.  A key mission of the office is to make it easy for industry to engage with NUI Maynooth and help them successfully exploit NUI Maynooth created IP.

The Commercialisation Office continues to focus on 3 pillars of activity:

  • Connecting NUI Maynooth researchers with industry and the marketplace
  • Developing a culture of research commercialisation at NUI Maynooth
  • Indentifying and commercialising the IP developed by NUI Maynooth researchers

The output of these 3 pillars of activity contributes to the growth and development of the knowledge economy.
